Our Pastor

The Reverend Warrens E. (Web) Berger began serving Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in June 2007. He had former careers as an automotive mechanic and in automotive database development before studying for the holy ministry at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN, from 2003 to 2006, where he earned his Master of Divinity Degree. Pastor Berger is married to Joyce (nee Carr), and God has blessed them with two daughters, Kristina and Katherine.

Our pastor was not raised as a Christian, making it easy for him to relate to people skeptical of Christianity. He can still remember when he thought Christians were an odd group! He gives thanks to God that Christ saved him by the Gospel, through faith in Jesus, and that he is now counted as one of those “oddballs.” Pastor Berger will gladly make time to meet with you to answer your questions to the best of his ability.
