Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another (1 John 4:11)

Ministries

To minister is to serve. To minister in the Name of Jesus is to serve others in His Name and according to His command to love others. But what does this mean, and what does this service look like? The short answer is simply this: To serve others as Christ serves is to serve sacrificially. This means serving others in humbleness, placing other’s needs before self, and remembering that all people are broken and in need of deep repair in Christ.

Therefore, the members at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church practice ministerial service within our own congregation as well as our neighbors in need.

Locally, we assist with feeding the hungry, housing the poor, supporting the right to life from conception to natural death, and providing material help in times of acute need or emergency. We love others because Jesus loved us first, and we give all glory and honor to God for equipping us with the heart and resources to help.
